Exam and credential pathway
The exam assesses PIMS principles and requirements together with audit preparation, execution, closure and audit-program management.
Passing the exam permits application for an eligible ISO/IEC 27701 Auditor credential. The credential tier depends on professional experience and verified PIMS audit activity; the Lead Auditor title is not automatic.
Course completion, examination success, certification application and credential issuance are separate stages; the credential is not issued automatically.

The 12-month period for the first examination, included free retake and certification application begins on the purchase date. This is separate from eLearning access: PECB provides unlimited access to the course materials and prerecorded sessions.
