Exam and credential pathway

The exam assesses SMS principles and requirements together with audit preparation, execution, closure and audit-program management.

Passing the exam permits application for an eligible PECB ISO/IEC 20000 Auditor credential. Professional experience and verified audit activity determine the credential tier; passing alone does not award the Lead Auditor title.

Course completion, examination success, certification application and credential issuance are separate stages; the credential is not issued automatically.
