Exam and credential pathway

The exam evaluates OH&S management principles and ISO 45001 requirements together with audit preparation, execution, closure and programme management.

Passing the exam allows application for an eligible PECB ISO 45001 Auditor credential. Credential tiers depend on professional experience and verified OH&S audit activity; passing alone does not automatically confer the Lead Auditor title.

Course completion, examination success, certification application and credential issuance are separate stages; the credential is not issued automatically.

The 12-month period for the first examination, included free retake and certification application begins on the purchase date. This is separate from eLearning access: PECB provides unlimited access to the course materials and prerecorded sessions.
