Exam and credential pathway
The exam assesses compliance-management principles and ISO 37301 requirements together with audit preparation, execution, closure and audit-program management.
Passing the exam permits application for an eligible PECB ISO 37301 Auditor credential. Professional experience and verified CMS audit activity determine the credential tier; passing alone does not award the Lead Auditor title.
Course completion, examination success, certification application and credential issuance are separate stages; the credential is not issued automatically.

The 12-month period for the first examination, included free retake and certification application begins on the purchase date.
