Different aspects

About the Saudi poet, and his identity; in a rapidly changing time, and an evolving environment, the different facets emerge. The difficulty of the issue of identity lies in its numerous connections that surround the individual from all sides, forming its main circles of interest and belonging, which are interconnected; so that each circle can form a separate identity to which the person belongs, defends, and clings to. This book traces that identity which appears in various poetic discourses, and silently transforms according to its surrounding circumstances, attempting to shed some light on the minor identities that are shaded by the larger identity of the homeland, which differ from poet to poet, as the book also observes. It studies the role of imagination and its impact on shaping identity, by examining the nomadic lifestyle as a prominent identity among a large number of young poets. But the strange thing is that whenever the connection to true nomadism weakens, the memory fills with holes, and details are forgotten, so that only the mysterious love for this desert remains of the nomadic life. As a result, the poet is forced to fill the holes in memory with much imagination...
