This book was first published in 1725 in old Italian, and since then it has not been translated into Arabic. Finally, we have brought it to you because it is a book rich in the treasures of ancient knowledge and connects it with modern knowledge, passing through the harsh and savage birth of the Middle Ages. It takes history as an experiential life that humans have lived from the flood to our present day as its source of inspiration and method of analysis. With its new reading of history through its myths, legends, and imaginary characters, Vico reaches the firm conviction that these myths tell the truth, and we must understand and view them as the peoples who created them did, meaning they are the only truth they could comprehend. To grasp this truth, we must descend from the heights of our philosophical thinking, abandon our intellectual arrogance, and discover the childhood of the world by diving into that childhood without the false interpretations created by our inner philosophy. By linking human history with all its components, which Vico discussed in the second book on poetic knowledge—metaphysics, ethics, economics, cosmogony, astronomy, and geography—and analyzing them through linguistics and etymology, the author was able to produce a "new science" that corrects many previous errors and arbitrary interpretations that are not based on historical or jurisprudential evidence.
