Exam and credential pathway
The examination focuses on the fundamental principles and concepts of an AIMS and the management-system requirements addressed by ISO/IEC 42001. The applicable examination format follows the course rules; English is the default examination language.
After passing the examination, a candidate may apply for the PECB Certificate Holder in ISO/IEC 42001 Foundation designation. PECB lists no professional-experience, audit-hour or AIMS-project requirement for this entry-level designation; application requirements and the Code of Ethics remain applicable.
Course completion, examination success, certification application and credential issuance are separate stages; the credential is not issued automatically.
