Product description

A balanced Ethiopian coffee with cherry and red apple notes, finished with a comforting caramel touch.

A luxurious balance between refreshing fruits and warm caramel.

The Hambella crop is an exceptional choice for lovers of balanced coffee that marries refreshment with depth. This crop comes from Ethiopia at an altitude of 2000 meters, where the high-altitude environment slowly regulates the ripening of local Heirloom variety beans, adding density to the flavors. Thanks to the natural dried process, notes of cherry, red apple, and peach manifest in the cup, settling at the end with a warm caramel touch that adds a comforting character to the experience.

This crop features medium to high sweetness, with a medium body and acidity that make it exceptionally versatile.

At Ninth Bar, backed by over 15 years of experience serving more than 3 million cups of specialty coffee, we roasted this crop to a precise "medium" degree to enhance this comforting balance, making it equally ideal for fans of V60 filter brewing and espresso lovers alike.

Flavor Experience:

The experience opens with a medium, refreshing acidity reminiscent of red apple and cherry, centered around the natural sweetness of peach, and crowned with a final touch of warm caramel that gives the coffee a comforting balance and a smooth body.

FAQ

  1. What makes Hambella coffee balanced? Its balance stems from merging the medium acidity of red fruits with a medium body and a warm caramel touch at the finish, where no single element overpowers the other.
  2. Is this coffee suitable for beginners in the specialty coffee world? Yes, it is an excellent starting point; due to the absence of sharp acidity or bitterness, and its inclusion of familiar flavors like cherry and caramel.
  3. How does the V60 flavor differ from Espresso in this product? In the V60, the fruity notes (peach and cherry) will be more open, while in the Espresso, the caramel touch and body will be much more pronounced.
