How to use Riacool 1% eye ointment

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
• If you are not sure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
• The eye preparation is usually sterile, so make sure the container is not damaged before use and also replace the cap after taking the dose.
• Wash your hands well before use.
• Remove the outer cap. You may find it easier to apply the ointment in front of a mirror.
• Tilt your head back and pull the lower eyelid outward to create a pocket.
• Hold the tube between the thumb and middle finger of the other hand, then turn the tube upside down.
• Down near the eye, try not to touch the eye with the nozzle.
• Place about half an inch of ointment into the pocket formed between the eyelid and the eye.

• Repeat in the other eye if you are told to use the eye ointment in both eyes.
• Replace the outer cap of the tube, and try not to touch the tip of the applicator to anything, including your eyes or fingers.
