Exam and credential pathway

The English ISO 9001 Foundation examination is 1 hour, contains 40 multiple-choice questions, is closed book and is available online. It covers quality-management fundamentals and ISO 9001 clauses 4–10.

After completing the training and passing the examination, the candidate may apply for the PECB Certificate Holder in ISO 9001 Foundation designation. PECB lists no professional-experience, audit-hours or QMS-project-experience requirement for this entry-level designation, but the candidate must complete the application requirements and accept the PECB Code of Ethics.

Course completion, examination success, certification application and credential issuance are separate stages; the credential is not issued automatically.

The 12-month period for the first examination, included free retake and certification application begins on the purchase date. This is separate from eLearning access: PECB provides unlimited access to the course materials and prerecorded sessions.
