"Saixa de Frutas" means: fruit box. The crop "Saixa de Frutas" is cultivated by small farmers working together in the Cocatrel cooperative, which is dedicated to supporting independent coffee farmers in Brazil and producing exceptional coffee. Coffee cherries are harvested, sorted, then dried on fixed drying beds. During the fermentation of the cherry fruits, the complex fruity flavors and high sweetness transfer to the coffee beans. The result is a rich-bodied, high-sweetness coffee, offering the cup delicious and unique flavors. After drying, the hulling process is carried out to remove the mucilaginous layer and husks from the coffee beans before sorting and grading.
