Sound and echo

The aim of this study was to approach all the studies that revolved around the prose poem in Saudi magazines during a specific period according to reception theory. It was found that these studies are divided into four time periods, with the methods of reception of the prose poem in Saudi magazines varying and changing over time and through the transformations of the era. It is but a serious attempt to build a new term through which the researcher can classify this written art, which imposed itself on the literary scene, and to devote effort to researching its laws and writing characteristics. It is also an effort to shorten nearly half a century in the dialectic of accepting this art, which was destined to occupy an artistic seat among different genres of literature. We hope that this study will be the opening of reception for prose poem texts through critical approaches that highlight the aesthetics of this art and aim at the goal of the creator who preferred his feelings in the text of the prose poem.
