Who are the Jews? And what is Judaism? Questions of identity and the crisis of the Jewish state, authored by: Dr. Abdul Wahab Al-Masiri

Who are the Jews? And what is Judaism? Two central questions answered by Dr. Abdul Wahab Al-Masiri, a specialist in Jewish and Zionist studies, who covers the dimensions of the subject — which seems complex to some — with his smooth, logical, analytical, and enjoyable style. The study is divided into three chapters; in the first, he unpacks the concept of the global Jewish unity and Jewish identity, then in the second chapter, he shows how homogeneous the Jewish communities in the world are, and in the last chapter, he analyzes the question of identity, the crisis of the Zionist society, and the fundamental contradictions between the Zionist vision of what is called Jewish identity and the reality of Jewish communities. This book refutes many assumptions and exposes the falsehood of many claims; it forms a fundamental building block in analyzing Jewish and Zionist thought and looks ahead — like any unprecedented work — to the future of the Jewish state.
