Anne of the Island (Anne 3) – Lucy Maud Montgomery | Classic novel

Anne of Green Gables is the third part of the Anne trilogy in the Green Heights after Anne of Avonlea, the classic novel that immortalized Lucy Maud Montgomery's name as one of the most important young adult authors, and paved the way for a trilogy of the most beautiful stories that captured the hearts of readers of all ages. If Lucy Maud Montgomery had not yielded to the wishes of her first publisher and had not published after seven years the book Anne of Green Gables, her third novel in the Anne series in the Green Gables village, the joy of following the story of the orphan heroine with red hair, whom we loved in the first and second parts, would have been denied to all young people around the world. Here is Anne growing more mature, leaving her island for a distant city to study at university, fulfilling an old dream shared with readers across generations, leaving behind the warmth of family, childhood home, childhood friends, and the early years of passion, and rushing after knowledge and achievement, taking her first steps into the world of writing and creativity, all while her heart never forgets the fluctuations of love and passion. The novel still today teaches young people how to rely on themselves, instills in them the values of effort and perseverance, and encourages altruism and noble emotions. Today, we present to the Arab reader this novel that holds a special place in Montgomery's series of novels, so much so that most of its quotes have directly inspired cinema adaptations.
