The divine table – Donald Ray Pollock | Novel

In the رواية "المائدة الربانية" (The Divine Table), "بولوك" (Pollock) takes us back to America 1917, the year America decided to enter World War I, and presents the story of a farmer and his three sons. "بولوك" (Pollock) offers a vivid satirical picture of a society torn apart, rushing towards mechanization and the enslavement of workers, a society ruled by the passion of barbarism and murder. It is worth mentioning that the writer previously published the رواية "شيطان أبد الدهر" (The Eternal Devil), translated by Mahdi Suleiman, in which Donald Ray Pollock reveals a whole generation's disillusionment with the American dream, after the 1960s exposed the falsehood of official propaganda. Therefore, it was not surprising that this harsh and dark novel depicts the fates of Americans in a journey of the fall of great slogans.
