Amoxicillin / Clavulanic acid 875 / 125 mg – Tablets Product description A bacterial antibiotic combination: Amoxicillin (from the penicillin class) Clavulanic acid (a beta-lactamase inhibitor) Used to help reduce the development of resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of antibiotics. This medication should only be used to treat infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by sensitive bacteria. Indications Used to treat sensitive bacterial infections, such as: Lower respiratory tract infections Acute bacterial otitis media Skin and soft tissue infections Urinary tract infections Method of use Take one tablet every 12 hours Can be taken with or without food, but preferably at the beginning of a meal to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset Swallow the tablet whole with water Do not crush or chew In the case of a sustained-release tablet: it can be broken into two halves and the halves swallowed sequentially Adhere to the dosage and duration of treatment even if symptoms improve.
