Vapcor 70 WP – Selective systemic herbicide Vapcor 70% WP (VAPCOR 70% WP) – Selective systemic herbicide used on potatoes before and after germination and used on transplanted tomatoes in open fields only and alfalfa for controlling broadleaf weeds and poisonous plant (Poa annua), and has good distribution of the herbicide in the root zone, in the form of a wettable powder. Classification and composition Classification: Systemic herbicide – GROUP 5 (Herbicide) Metribuzin: 70% Additives: 30% Crops and usage rates Potatoes — before germination: 0.5 kg/hectare (light soil), 0.75 kg/hectare (medium and heavy soil) — applied once during the season — withholding period: 60 days Potatoes — after germination (after height exceeds 5 cm): 0.75-1.0 kg/hectare — withholding period: 60 days Transplanted tomatoes — about 10 days after planting seedlings: 0.5 kg/hectare (light, medium, and heavy soil) — withholding period: 42 days Alfalfa — 0.5-0.75 kg/hectare — used only on seed-grown alfalfa — withholding period: 38 days Weeds controlled: broadleaf weeds and poisonous plant. Mixing compatibility Compatible with most herbicides and not compatible with high-concentration compound herbicides; a small-scale mixing test is recommended before large-scale mixing. Notes The lower rates are designated for light and medium soils, and higher rates for clay soils. The best results can be obtained when using the herbicide on loosened soil with surface moisture up to a depth of 3-5 cm. The application rate should not exceed 0.5 kg/hectare on early potato varieties. This herbicide should not be used on sandy soils containing less than 1% organic matter. Potatoes may be damaged if sprayed after exceeding 5 cm plant height. Do not spray this herbicide if the temperature exceeds 25°C, and it is not permitted to use this herbicide on tomatoes grown in greenhouses. This herbicide does not control goosegrass (Gallium aprinne). Re-entry period for treated field: Entry is prohibited for 12 hours except in case of necessity, with full protective clothing (apron, shoes, hat, gloves, masks). Storage Keep in its original tightly sealed container in a dry, well-ventilated place at room temperature, away from heat sources, sunlight, children’s reach, and away from food, feed, seeds, and fertilizers. ⚠️ Highly toxic to humans and animals if ingested, contact skin or eyes, or inhaled, toxic to fish and aquatic organisms, water sources must not be contaminated with the herbicide.
