The House of the Coptic, authored by Ashraf Al-Ashmawy

The events of the novel revolve around a forensic investigator trying to track criminal crimes in a small village in North Upper Egypt, and he is surprised by something more dangerous: murders without a logical motive, suspicious suicides, and burning crops and houses without an apparent reason, to the point that everyone, including the investigator, becomes increasingly suspicious of everyone else, whose fate intersects with a mysterious Coptic woman. In this novel, writer Ashraf Al-Ashmawy delves into complex souls, weaving his events into new, astonishing worlds, with humorous and heartbreaking contradictions, through an engaging narrative rhythm that enriches thought and stimulates imagination, leaving ample space for interpretation for the reader.
