The hole

This novel's events take place in "the hole," a neighborhood of the most disturbed neighborhoods of Istanbul, founded by Idris, the head of the Kutchovali family, who became a father to all the people of the neighborhood and not just his family. The general shape of the novel shifts from the character Yamach, Idris's youngest son, who decided to abandon his family and his home to start a new life, but finds himself at the beginning of the road to the hole again, and involved in its events and accepting the role assigned to him by the family and the neighborhood, becoming their savior from the dangers they face. The most prominent feature of this work is that it addresses the lives of gangs in Turkey in a different way, and discusses issues of family ties and human relationships even among the members of those gangs.
