Arduino Opta is a small, safe, and easy-to-use programmable logic controller (PLC), equipped with industrial Internet of Things capabilities. This device is designed in partnership with Finder, a leading manufacturer of building and industrial automation devices, to enable professionals to expand automation projects while benefiting from the Arduino ecosystem. The device supports both Arduino sketches and standard programmable logic control languages, including LD (Ladder Diagram) and FBD (Function Block Diagram), and is designed with PLC engineers in mind. Its precise dual-core STM32H747XI processor Cortex®-M7 + M4 allows users to control, monitor, and execute real-time predictive maintenance applications. The device features a secure and durable design, supports over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates, and ensures data security from devices to the cloud through the built-in security element and compatibility with the X.509 standard. Additionally, Opta undergoes regular assessments to enhance and improve its cybersecurity level. All of this maintains the ease of deployment of Arduino Pro in production environments, thanks to a wide range of ready-made software libraries and Arduino sketches.
