Product description

This book, these words in the history of Islamic legislation, shows you its origin and development, and enlightens you about its sources and schools of thought, and reveals to you its virtues and objectives, and depicts how the Prophet -peace be upon him- and his companions after him excelled in strengthening its firm foundations, and how the early Muslims dedicated their efforts and activity to serve this Sharia in uncovering its secrets and seeking its rulings and wisdoms. It clearly demonstrates that these were successful attempts and blessed good efforts, and it recounts for you the stories of jurists and mujtahids and the history of the scholarly life of Islam's heroes, which motivate you to emulate them, and convince you that they are men who fulfilled their covenant with Allah. And since this knowledge is newly established and formed, the early scholars did not dedicate it as an independent science with chapters and sections, but its discussions were scattered within books, dispersed among other Islamic sciences, in the sciences of the Quran, Hadith sciences, principles of jurisprudence, the Prophet’s biography, the history of men, and general Islamic history. In each of these sciences, there are fragments of its issues, which were not confined to a specific place nor limited in scope; their mention in this science is left to the researcher’s discretion, so that he considers only what research requires and what is urgently needed, while another researcher may choose different issues based on his independence from that or other considerations. Therefore, we limited our discussion in these words to what the new curriculum for students of the College of Islamic Law at Al-Azhar requires, and we made sure not to overlook what was included in the first memorandum according to the old curriculum, which was compatible with our current curriculum.
