Al-Munjid Guide explaining morphological applications in the book of Munjid Al-Talibin

My book "Munjid Al-Talibin" in the art of conjugation, which I composed for students of the high certificate at the College of Arabic Language — one of the faculties of Al-Azhar University — includes many diverse conjugation applications and exercises that require effort, research accuracy, and insight into the rules of this art. I did not leave any rule without exercises that cover all its aspects, which only a serious, non-joking, diligent, hardworking student can handle, not the negligent or frivolous. I did not limit myself to practical exercises; I added many grammar questions that resemble practical applications more than scientific rules. Answering them requires reviewing the entire book, perhaps by commitment rather than explicit statement, which encourages the student to extensive reading and practice. This undoubtedly cultivates a mastery of this noble linguistic art, which is the highest goal of university studies and what those involved in Arabic sciences strive for. In recent years, since the appearance of my book "Munjid Al-Talibin," I have sensed that I am nearing this noble goal with my students, or that I am on the way to it. The students wanted a standard by which they could measure their answers to these applications, guiding them back to correctness if they deviated, and easing their effort if they succeeded. Whoever deviates from correctness is guided by this book, and whoever reaches the core and understands the key can be confident in their work and increase their care. The others, if they have the desire to benefit, will try to find the proper way that leads to correctness. Therefore, I responded to their wish and composed this book for them, calling it "Guide of the Munjid." I pray to Allah to benefit the students with it, to make it purely for His noble face, and He alone is responsible for enabling us to reach our hopes.
