Product description

Samidori is one of the most famous and oldest tea plant strains in Japan and is primarily used to produce very high-quality matcha tea. It originated in the Uji region in Kyoto, which is the historic and most famous area for producing matcha in the world. The Samidori variety accounts for only 4% of production compared to other matcha varieties, with Yabukita being the highest in Japan at over 73%. This makes the Samidori strain rare in Japan and more desirable both domestically and internationally. It is highly sought after by matcha lovers for its unique properties. This strain is distinguished by characteristics that make it the first choice for luxurious celebratory grades, rich in umami flavor with a clear natural sweetness. - Mr. Yushinori Nakanishi - The place of cultivation and production of the matcha powder is the most important factor when choosing its source. Mr. Yushinori Nakanishi's production center is located in Japan, specifically in Kagoshima, a lively city and prefecture in southern Japan. It is one of the most important tea-growing regions in the country thanks to its warm climate and fertile volcanic soil. The region produces types of tea known for their delicate flavors and fragrant aroma. Kagoshima is home to eleven active volcanoes, and these volcanic materials give Kagoshima rich, nutrient-filled soil. The minerals in the volcanic ash contribute to forming a fertile soil rich in iron, magnesium, and potassium, which helps produce the finest organic matcha and green tea. The ideal conditions in this region allow the tea leaves to gain richness and depth in flavor, making Kagoshima matcha an excellent choice for those seeking a refined and strong flavor simultaneously. Mr. Yushinori Nakanishi's distinction is not only as the best organic matcha farmer in Japan and renowned for his exceptional quality, but he is also a true pioneer of organic farming in Kagoshima. Since the 1980s, he has been growing tea without using chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, preserving the purity and full health benefits of the product. He has held an organic farming certificate for over 25 years. Mr. Nakanishi achieved a rare feat by producing unmatched organic matcha, thanks to his meticulous precision and attention to detail. His shading system is divided into three overlapping layers, each with different light permeability, allowing him to precisely control the shading intensity according to the plants' needs and weather conditions, making fine adjustments daily before harvest, fifty days in advance. The tea plants are carefully shaded, which imparts an unparalleled sweetness and rich flavor to the matcha. In 1992, Nakanishi's tea received its exceptional quality recognition and was awarded the prestigious Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award, the highest honor a tea farmer can receive in Japan. The Matcha Ceremonial team continuously strives to provide a different and exceptional experience by offering single-source matcha made from one tea leaf and from one region and farm. While most market matcha varieties are blended from multiple farms and regions, single-source matcha is relatively rare and available in very limited quantities. We are proud to be the first to introduce this luxurious and rare strain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
