Shadows

The Shadows by Alex North ... A teenager like Charlie Crabtree with his dark heinous imagination and evil smile, and being unaffiliated with any group of friends, some of you might suspect that he could be capable of doing something terrible. And indeed, Crabtree did that twenty-five years ago, he committed a very shocking murder that attracted people to that strange kind of shameful behavior that only exists in the darkest corners of the internet. And he inspired more copycat murders of the one he committed. Paul Adams remembers the case well: Crabtree and his victim were one of Paul's friends. Paul slowly gathered the pieces of his life again, but now his elderly mother—who suffers from dementia—begins to deteriorate. And although every part of him resists, it is time to go back home. It won't be long before things start to go wrong. Paul knows that Detective Amanda Pike is investigating a copycat murder that shook the streets of the nearby town of Fetherbank. His mother is worried and insists that there is something in the house. Someone is chasing him. And those previous events only reminded him of the most disturbed matters concerning that horrific day twenty-five years ago. It wasn't just about the murder but also the fact that Charlie Crabtree was never seen again. Publisher: Juice Books Author: Alex North Number of pages: 368
