I will wait for you in the midnight train

The short story collection "I Will Wait for You at Midnight Train" is a huge challenge to human willpower. The heroes of its stories are characters who seem ordinary at first, living their lives monotonously, but a passing event leads to turning things upside down, as in the story of the hat, in which a wealthy man coming from Germany, specialized in snow skiing, challenges all the skiers present at the "Happiness" tavern to cross the "Grave" runway for a large sum of money. This runway got its name because many professional skiers fell into the abyss of death, and most failed to cross the distance safely on skis, but the thin waitress of the tavern accepts this challenge. Despite the mockery of those present, she easily proves to them their weakness and shortcomings and that they are cowards unworthy of respect, confirming her composure and professionalism in the rough sport of men, which warmed the hearts of the mockers.
