About the painting

This soft pastel painting is a sketch study for the painting "Red, 2025" that was created by the same artist. Inspired by the artists favorite season, autumn.

Unlike paint applied on canvas, pastel paintings are more delicate to handle. Yet, in spite of their delicacy, pastel art is some of the most brilliant and longest lasting of any medium. The vibrant colors are less susceptible to damage by light.

This painting has not been sprayed with a fixative as the artist does not like fixing pastel paintings to not lose the accuracy and vibrancy of the colors. Therefore, the surface of the painting is delicate to the touch and the pastels can rub off easily if you touch the surface directly.

Once you purchase this painting you will receive a paper with the delivered product that has tips on how to take care of your new pastel painting as well as frame it.
