Mustafa Lutfi Al-Manfaluti – a collection of social, political, and religious articles, through which Al-Manfaluti was keen to address societal affairs. On the social level — which occupied the largest part of his writings — he called for reform, moral refinement, virtues, defending religion and homeland, and emphasized the necessity of liberation from superstitions, ignorance, laziness, and apathy. He also dedicated two articles to women; in which he emphasized their status and the importance of their role in life. In the religious field; he mourned for Muslims' distance from their religion, attributing their weakness to their separation from it. He also revolted against superstitions invented by Muslims; such as offering vows to saints, building shrines over graves, and other matters that God has not sanctioned. Politically, he spoke about the Egyptian cause and described the state of the divided Egyptian nation at that time, as well as praising the national leader «Saad Zaghloul» and describing him as «the savior of the nation»..
