The whale that ate the moon

The whale this piece evokes an ancient ritual, where humans were partners in protecting the light, when the sound was a call, and rhythm an act of faith. The sound of the mortar here is not noise, but an echo of memory… awakening the feeling that small things, when intentionally struck, can make a difference. Scent Haon, a handcrafted copper mortar, carefully made, to be a tool of sound and memory. Accompanied by the pestle, Arabic coffee, cardamom, saffron, and cloves. To complete the experience between sound, smell, and taste, and turn the gift into a living ritual, not only used but lived. A gift that reminds us that the light is not left alone… and that the impact sometimes begins with a gentle but sincere strike.
