The plant of Al Arqa or as it is called Al Arja or Al Jard is a wild seasonal plant always known as the plant associated with the truffle or the Fag. Like Al Raqroq, it is widely cultivated in deserts with sandy and clay soils, and even all types of soils. Its roots stick to the truffle (Fag), and the truffle is usually red in color. The scientific name: Helianthemum. The original habitat: Arabian Peninsula and North Africa. Other names: Al Arja, Al Ajrad, Al Jareed. Exposure: Al Arja needs full sun exposure. Watering: initially, it is watered once daily during germination, then daily watering is maintained. It is preferable for the soil to be moist whether inside a nursery or in a dug land. Planting time: in November (11th month). Flowering time: in March (3rd month). Planting Al Arja: The nature of Al Arja seeds is soft, so they need to be mixed with fine sand to facilitate seed scattering, then mixed with peat soil and sown on trays, pots, or containers.
