Queen's flower cultivation and environmental conditions:
Alisem is grown in specific tree beds and palm beds, and also in pots and home gardens. It does not require special care except when transplanting seedlings from containers to the garden. It can tolerate frost down to -3°C and is resistant to pests, insects, and fungal infections.
Seeds are planted directly in the ground or in a container with rich, sandy or well-drained clay soil with a neutral pH, keeping the soil moist and watering whenever the soil feels dry and needs water until germination. Seeds usually sprout within 3 days to a week.
After flowering, the plant and faded flowers should be cut back to revive flowering again.
Flowers bloom from early summer until autumn.
Fertilization: During the first growth stage, high nitrogen is given, then after flowering, phosphorus and potassium are supplied for abundant production.
Watering: It does not like too much water, as excess water weakens the plant and causes the leaves to yellow.
Sun exposure: Needs full sun or partial shade.
