A rare astronomical astrolabe from heritage pieces

A piece of my museum collection, a brass astrolabe, 35 cm. An astrolabe was traditionally used to represent the movement of stars and planets, and the lines of the sky. The Arabic writings and decorations on it give it an Islamic heritage traditional character from ancient astronomical tools. Price 800 riyals.
