What is Betamethasone dipropionate / Salicylic acid and what is its use? This product will consist of two active ingredients: Betamethasone dipropionate and Salicylic acid. Betamethasone dipropionate belongs to the class of topical corticosteroids that work to reduce inflammation, itching, and redness of the skin. Salicylic acid works to soften the upper layer of crusts on the skin surface, allowing Betamethasone dipropionate to reach the affected skin area beneath the crusts to help heal the skin disease. This product is used to treat adults and children suffering from skin problems including a layer of crusts covering the affected skin. It helps reduce itching, redness, and remove the crust layer. Do not use Betamethasone dipropionate / Salicylic acid if you are allergic to Betamethasone dipropionate or Salicylic acid or any of the ingredients of this product. If the package is torn or shows signs of tampering. If the medicine has exceeded the expiration date on the package. If allergic reactions or skin irritation appear when using the ointment. If you suffer from other skin problems such as: genital itching, cold sores, herpes zoster, chickenpox, acne, diaper rash, dermatitis around the mouth, other skin infections, rosacea (a skin problem affecting the face), as using this medicine for these conditions may worsen the problem. Warnings and precautions: Stop using the medicine immediately and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if allergic symptoms appear such as: itching or skin redness, shortness of breath, rash, facial or neck swelling, low blood pressure or dizziness. This medicine is for external use only and should not be swallowed. Avoid contact of the ointment with lips, eyes, mouth, sensitive areas of the neck, and corners of the nose. In case of accidental contact, rinse the area well with warm water and dry it. Inform your doctor if you have psoriasis before using the medicine, and your doctor may recommend regular follow-up. Contact your doctor if psoriasis worsens or nodules filled with pus appear under the skin. Talk to your doctor immediately if vision problems such as blurred vision occur. Avoid smoking or approaching open flames to prevent the risk of severe burns. Fabrics that contact this ointment burn more easily and pose a fire risk, and washing may not remove the product buildup unless it is completely removed. Improper or prolonged use may cause rare hormonal changes such as: moon face (Cushingoid appearance), delayed growth, increased intracranial pressure, bulging fontanel in infants, persistent headache, vision problems. The ointment should not be used on children for more than 5 days. Usage instructions: wash your hands before and after using the ointment. Reclose the cap after use to prevent leakage. Follow the instructions in this leaflet unless advised otherwise by your doctor or pharmacist. Avoid contact of the ointment with eyes. Do not use the ointment under dressings, patches, or under a diaper. Do not apply large amounts on wide areas of the body for extended periods. Do not use on the face for more than 5 days. Do not use on open wounds, large areas, or skin folds. Storage: keep out of reach of children and pets. Store in a dry place below 25°C. Do not use after the expiration date.
