What you need to know before using Ciprofloxacin: Do not take Ciprofloxacin if: you are allergic to Ciprofloxacin or any antibiotic from the quinolone family or any ingredients of the medication. you are taking Tizanidine. Warnings and precautions: inform your doctor about all your health conditions, especially if you have: tendon problems. heart diseases such as heart failure or arrhythmia. neurological disorders such as epilepsy or seizures. nerve problems. kidney or liver issues. rheumatoid arthritis or other joint problems. myasthenia gravis. diabetes. pregnancy or planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. this medication may cause tendon inflammation or rupture or nervous system problems. the risk of tendon rupture increases in people over 60 years old, organ transplant patients, or those using corticosteroids. the risk of joint problems increases in children under 18 years old. this medication is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Possible side effects: stop using the medication and seek medical care immediately if allergic symptoms appear such as: rash or itching. redness or ulceration or peeling of the skin. chest or throat tightness. difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking. unusual hoarseness or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. stop using the medication and contact your doctor if tendon problems such as pain or swelling occur. Other medications and Ciprofloxacin: inform your doctor of all medications you are taking, as Ciprofloxacin interacts with many drugs. It should not be used with Tizanidine due to the risk of low blood pressure and severe drowsiness. How to use Ciprofloxacin: use the medication as instructed by your doctor. take it at the same time daily. take with a full glass of water. do not take with dairy products such as milk, yogurt, or calcium-fortified juices. swallow the tablets whole without chewing, breaking, or crushing. Dosage: Adults: the usual dose is 250 to 750 mg every 12 hours. Children: the dose is determined based on body weight, usually 10–20 mg/kg/dose every 12 hours.
