Euthyrox is the synthetic alternative to the thyroid hormone, used to compensate for deficiency when the gland is unable to produce the hormone sufficiently. Its main function is to regulate metabolism and energy processes in the body. Used to treat: hypothyroidism: where the patient suffers from slow metabolism, weight gain, fatigue, dry skin, hair loss, sensitivity to cold. Certain types of thyroid tumors that depend on TSH. Do not use Euthyrox if: you are allergic to the active substance or any of the ingredients. you have untreated adrenal insufficiency. Warnings and precautions: contact your doctor if you have: heart diseases (such as angina or arrhythmia). adrenal gland diseases. diabetes, because the medication may change your need for blood sugar-lowering drugs. osteoporosis or factors that increase the risk of decreased bone density.
