Product Description Uses: Mometasone topical is used to reduce redness, swelling, itching, inflammation, and discomfort caused by various skin diseases, including: Psoriasis: a skin disease in which red scaly patches form on certain areas of the body. Eczema: a skin disease that causes dry skin, itching, and sometimes red scaly rash. Mometasone works by activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness, and itching. Mometasone is a topical corticosteroid medication, known as a strong corticosteroid. These medications are applied to the skin surface to reduce redness and itching caused by some skin problems. It is used to avoid skin irritation and to reduce skin redness, itching, and dryness caused by eczema. Usage Instructions Apply the medicine according to the doctor’s instructions, usually a thin layer on the affected area once daily, gently massaging. Do not cover the treated area with dressings or other coverings unless instructed by your doctor. Wash and dry your hands, then squeeze the appropriate amount. Spread the cream or ointment in a thin layer over the irritated skin area. Carefully smooth it onto your skin in the direction of hair growth. Use the cream or ointment on all irritated skin areas, not just the worst areas. Be careful not to put the cream or ointment on cracked skin or wounds. Wash your hands after use (unless you are treating your hands). Wait at least 10 minutes before using any other creams or ointments. Warnings and Precautions Tell your doctor or pharmacist before use if you: Have previously had an allergic reaction to Mometasone or any other medication. Have chickenpox or shingles. Have acne or rosacea. Have a skin infection. Have skin cracks, wounds, or non-inflammatory or non-red itching. Are trying to conceive, pregnant, or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve after two weeks of treatment or if it worsens. This medication is intended for use only on certain areas of the skin: Do not use it on the face, thighs, armpits, or diaper rash unless directed by your doctor.
