Amoxicillin / Clavulanic acid 625 mg tablets What is amoxicillin / clavulanic acid and what is its use: Used in adults and children to treat the following infections: • Middle ear infections and sinusitis • Respiratory tract infections • Urinary tract infections • Skin and soft tissue infections including dental infections • Bone and joint infections Do not take amoxicillin / clavulanic acid: • If you are allergic to amoxicillin or clavulanic acid or penicillin or any other ingredients of the medication • If you have had a severe allergic reaction to any other antibiotic (such as rash or swelling of the face or throat) • If you have previously had liver problems or jaundice when taking an antibiotic Precautions and warnings: Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you: • Have glandular fever • Are receiving treatment for liver or kidney problems • Do not urinate regularly Possible side effects: May include: • Allergic reactions • Seizures • Colitis Other medications and amoxicillin / clavulanic acid: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking: • Allopurinol • Probenecid • Blood thinners (such as warfarin) How to take amoxicillin / clavulanic acid: Adults and children ≥ 40 kg: • Usual dose: one tablet three times daily Children under 40 kg: • Preferably use the oral suspension or sachets for those 6 years or younger Usage instructions: • Take the medication with a meal • Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water Storage instructions: • Keep out of reach of children • Do not use after the expiration date (EXP) • Do not store above 25°C • Tablets inside the sachets should be used within 30 days of opening • Store in the original packaging to protect from moisture • Do not use broken or damaged tablets • Do not dispose of in wastewater or household waste Product details: Product model: Tablets Product type: Tablets Brand: Clavox Quantity: 20 tablets
