Evoqa – Dapoxetine what is Evoqa and what are the indications for its use: Evoqa contains the active ingredient dapoxetine, which belongs to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) group, and is also known as a drug used in the field of urology. Evoqa works on: prolonging the time needed for ejaculation, improving control over ejaculation, reducing anxiety and frustration associated with rapid ejaculation. It is used to treat premature ejaculation in men aged 18 to less than 64 years. Premature ejaculation is a condition in which a man reaches ejaculation with slight sexual arousal and before the desired time, which may negatively affect self-confidence and the marital relationship. Method of use and dosage: Recommended dose: 30 mg. The doctor may increase the dose to 60 mg depending on the response. The medication is taken 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity. Do not take Evoqa more than once within 24 hours. The tablet is swallowed whole with a full glass of water to reduce the risk of dizziness or fainting. It can be taken with or without food. It is not used for men under 18 years or over 65 years. Medical follow-up: The continuation of treatment should be discussed with the doctor after: 4 weeks of use or 6 doses. If continuing, the doctor should review every 6 months at least. Do not take Evoqa if: you are allergic to dapoxetine or any of the ingredients. You have experienced: heart failure, arrhythmias, a history of fainting, severe mania or depression, moderate or severe liver problems. Warnings and precautions: Talk to your doctor before use if: premature ejaculation has not been diagnosed medically, you have erectile dysfunction, a history of dizziness due to low blood pressure, you use recreational drugs or stimulants, you consume alcohol, you have psychological disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia, you have epilepsy, bleeding or clotting problems, kidney problems, or are at risk of developing glaucoma. Side effects: Stop the medication and consult a doctor immediately if: seizures, fainting or severe dizziness upon standing, severe mood changes, suicidal thoughts or self-harm. Very common side effects: dizziness, headache, nausea. Common side effects: anxiety or tension, numbness or tingling, difficulty in erection, sweating or face flushing, gastrointestinal disturbances, stomach pain or bloating, sleep problems, drowsiness or fatigue, nasal congestion, high blood pressure, concentration problems, decreased libido, ringing in the ears, blurred vision, dry mouth. Drug interactions: Do not take Evoqa with: MAO inhibitors, thioridazine, other antidepressants, lithium, linezolid, tryptophan, St. John’s Wort, tramadol, migraine medications.
