Product description

Product description Xforg tablets contain two active ingredients: Amlodipine and Valsartan, both working together to effectively control high blood pressure. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker, working to prevent calcium entry into the walls of blood vessels, preventing their constriction and helping them relax. Valsartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker, preventing the effect of angiotensin responsible for vessel constriction and high pressure. The combination of the two ingredients helps relax blood vessels, thus lowering blood pressure and improving control, especially in patients who do not respond adequately to Amlodipine or Valsartan alone. Xforg is used to treat high blood pressure in adults when a double combination is needed for optimal control. Usage instructions Recommended dose: one tablet daily. It is preferable to calibrate the dose of each component separately before switching to the double combination, unless the doctor advises otherwise. You can switch directly from separate therapy to Xforg with the same doses of the components. Concentrations and indications for use 5 mg / 80 mg: when blood pressure is not controlled with 5 mg Amlodipine or 80 mg Valsartan. 5 mg / 160 mg: when blood pressure is not controlled with 5 mg Amlodipine or 160 mg Valsartan. 10 mg / 160 mg: when blood pressure is not controlled with 10 mg Amlodipine or 160 mg Valsartan, or when switching from 5/160 mg. Special cases Liver patients: in mild and moderate insufficiency, Valsartan dose should not exceed 80 mg with the lowest dose of Amlodipine. Kidney patients: dose adjustment is not required in mild and moderate insufficiency, but potassium and creatinine levels should be monitored. Elderly (65+): used with caution when increasing the dose. The tablet can be taken with or without food, swallowed whole with a little water, and preferably at the same time daily.
