Product Description Evarin 5 mg – Rosuvastatin | Cholesterol-lowering | 30 tablets What is Evarin 5 mg and what are its indications? Evarin contains Rosuvastatin 5 mg from the statin class of cholesterol-lowering drugs. It works by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase responsible for cholesterol production in the liver. It increases the number of LDL receptors in the liver → enhances the removal of harmful cholesterol → lowers its levels in the blood. Used to lower: harmful LDL cholesterol triglycerides risk of clots and heart problems caused by high cholesterol when dietary and lifestyle changes fail to reduce fats. Usage instructions Usually starts with 5 mg or 10 mg even if a higher dose of statins has been previously used. The doctor determines the dose based on: cholesterol level cardiovascular risk patient sensitivity to side effects the dose may be gradually increased. Maximum dose: 40 mg daily. Taken once daily at any time, preferably at night. With or without food. In case of missed dose: take it upon remembering unless the next dose is close. Do not take two doses together.
