🔹 What is dried ivy leaf extract and its use: It is a herbal medicinal product used as an expectorant in cases of productive cough in adults, adolescents, and children from the age of two. It helps to thin mucus and relieve the tiring intermittent cough by cleansing the airways, and also relieves shortness of breath associated with bronchitis.🔹 Do not take dried ivy leaf extract: If you are allergic to ivy leaves or plants of the Araliaceae family (ivy). Children under two years old due to the risk of worsening respiratory symptoms.🔹 Warnings and precautions: Inform your doctor or pharmacist in the following cases: If children aged 2–4 years have a persistent or recurrent cough. In case of difficulty breathing, fever, or purulent sputum (containing pus). If symptoms do not improve within 7 days of using the medication. If you are taking other medications that suppress cough (opioid antitussives like codeine or dextromethorphan). If you have stomach problems such as gastritis or stomach ulcers. If you suffer from kidney or liver failure.🔹 Possible side effects: Nausea. Vomiting. Diarrhea.🔹 Other medications and dried ivy leaf extract: Its effect on other medications has not been reported.🔹 How to take dried ivy leaf extract: For adults over 18 years: The usual dose is 5–10 ml three times daily. For children between 6–12 years: The usual dose is 5 ml twice daily. Use the attached measuring cup to adjust the correct dose. Take without dilution and regardless of meals. During the day, it is recommended to drink adequate amounts of water or warm caffeine-free beverages.🔹 How to store dried ivy leaf extract: Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the packaging (EXP). The expiration date indicates the last day of the same month. Do not store above 25°C.
