Do not take ergot alkaloids metabolized by CYP3A4 such as Dihydroergotamine, Ergometrine (Ergonavine), Ergotamine, and Methylergometrine (Methylrgonovine) with Itraconazole. How to take Itraconazole: Adults over 18 years: The usual dose for fungal nail infection only: 2 treatment courses, each consisting of 200 mg (2 capsules) twice daily (400 mg/day) for one week. There is a 3-week break without Itraconazole. How to take Itraconazole: Itraconazole capsules should be taken after a full meal. Separate from taking antacids or gastric acid suppressants.
