🔹 Important alert: Please attach the medical prescription in the attachments below 🔹 What is Isosorbide Dinitrate and its use: Isosorbide Dinitrate is a vasodilator, used for long-term treatment and prevention of coronary circulation disorders and angina pectoris, as well as in rehabilitative treatment after myocardial infarction. 🔹 Do not take Isosorbide Dinitrate if you: Are allergic to Isosorbide Dinitrate. Suffer from severe circulatory failure (shock or vascular collapse). Have very low blood pressure. Are bleeding. Take phosphodiesterase inhibitors like sildenafil, tadalafil, or vardenafil. 🔹 Warnings and precautions: Use with caution in patients with increased intraocular pressure. Avoid alcohol during treatment. There is a possibility of accelerated hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells) if G6PD enzyme deficiency exists. 🔹 Possible side effects: Headache. Water flow (discharge). Low blood pressure. 🔹 Other medications and Isosorbide Dinitrate: Using phosphodiesterase inhibitors (like sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil) may cause severe low blood pressure. Orthostatic hypotension may occur when used simultaneously with calcium channel blockers like amlodipine, or antihypertensive drugs, or phenothiazines, or tricyclic antidepressants like amitriptyline, imipramine, doxycycline. Alcohol use may lead to severe blood pressure drop and collapse. 🔹 How to take Isosorbide Dinitrate: For adults over 18 years: usual dose is one tablet twice daily. Do not exceed 240 mg daily. Do not open or crush the capsules. Swallow whole with water. Do not stop the medication without healthcare provider’s guidance.
