At an elevation ranging between 1800-2400 meters above sea level on the road extending between the capital of Yemen, Sana'a, and the port of Hodeidah, in a very unique location between the mountain heights, lies the village of Al-Mansha'a where the coffee farm of the Al-Makhlef family is located. Fortunately, Mr. Mohammed Al-Makhlef, the farmer, and thanks to the availability of water sources, supplies the irrigation system used on the farm; as water scarcity is considered one of the major challenges faced by farmers in Yemen. It is worth mentioning that this crop is an experimental project that was first cultivated in Yemen through fermentation, where the coffee is placed in tanks after harvesting and dried in the shade, and the result was truly impressive.
