Senthion 50 EC Insecticide – Organophosphorus insecticide for controlling locusts and grasshoppers. Senthion 50% EC (SENTHION 50% EC) is an organophosphorus insecticide non-systemic, effective by contact and ingestion. Used to control desert locusts and grasshoppers. Classification and composition: Classification: Insecticide – GROUP 1B (Organophosphorus) Fenitrothion: 50% Additives: 50% Pests and usage rates: Desert locusts and grasshoppers: 1 liter / hectare with 500–1000 liters of water for ground spraying, or 50–100 liters of water or diesel for aerial spraying. The pesticide is used in desert areas free of crops. Mixing compatibility: Compatible with most insecticides and fungicides, and not compatible with herbicides belonging to the Propanyl group. Avoid mixing with highly alkaline pesticides, and in case of mixing with alkaline pesticides like Bordeaux Liquid. Symptoms of poisoning and their antidotes: Congestion, abdominal pain, chest constriction. A doctor must be called immediately and treated with two atropine tablets or sweating injections. Medical treatment must not be neglected under any circumstances. Re-entry period to the treated field: Entry is prohibited for 48 hours except in emergencies, with full protective clothing (apron, shoes, hat, gloves, masks). Storage: Keep in its original tightly sealed container in a dry, well-ventilated place at room temperature, away from heat sources, sunlight, children, foodstuffs, feed, seeds, and fertilizers. ⚠️ Toxic to humans and animals if swallowed, inhaled, or contact with skin. Toxic to fish and marine life, so water sources and empty containers must not be contaminated with the pesticide. Highly toxic to bees.
