Product description
Unprecedented human scientific excellence and development today and the benefits resulting from it are undeniable to any rational person and with eyes. But this excellence was accompanied by flaws, gaps, and slips exploited by those before us who suffered from a disease in the Islamic world to attack Islam, its beliefs, and its Shariah under the pretext that it does not agree with this astonishing scientific development and does not keep pace with it. This research was conducted to trace the history of the development of science in the Western world from the pre-scientific revolution era until today; then to delve into the reasons for the deviation accompanying this development, whether due to the church, secular, material, or experimental thought. It also addressed the deviations accompanying this excellence in the Islamic world, examined their causes, and mentioned the most important experiences of modernization and the pursuit of modern sciences. It listed the positions of contemporary scholars on modern science, such as Al-Saadi, Ibn Baz, Al-Shinqiti, and the modernists. Then it discussed the methodological influence of Westernization thought on the deviation accompanying modern science, whether related to issues of belief or Shariah. The book concludes with a discussion of some false issues arising from Westernization thought regarding religion and science.
