Product description
Raising children is an art that many fathers and mothers find difficult at certain times in life, and many times parents wonder about the best ways to deal with their children. Imam Al-Ghazali says: "Our children are jewels," and we can add to that art by saying: "But many adults are hard-hearted," and they need guidance and advice before the children. Ibn Al-Qayyim emphasizes the importance of the family’s role in upbringing: "Most children’s corruption comes from the parents’ neglect of them, and their failure to teach them the obligations and Sunnah of religion, so they wasted them when they were young, so they did not benefit themselves, nor did they benefit their parents when they grew up." Some have also reproached their son for disobedience, saying: "Oh father, you disobeyed me when I was young, so I disobeyed you when I am grown, and I wasted myself as a child, so I wasted you as an elder." It has been conclusively proven to researchers that the first years of life have a decisive impact on the rest of a person’s life, as the child's sense of himself comes from how you treat him. If you make him feel that he is a good boy, and you show him your love, he will have the idea of himself as a good and honored person. But if you are impatient with him, constantly blame and scold him day and night, making him feel that he is a bad boy, he will grow up with that mentality, have a bad opinion of himself, and the matter will end either in depression and frustration, or rebellion and disobedience.
