Product description
About the book, it delves deeply into the contradictions of human nature and its worlds; it addresses moral crises and their repercussions under the dominance of money and its control over American society, which becomes a motive for exploitation in the name of law. The author also points to the always ambiguous American politics in its dealings with many issues, including the "Native Americans" case, dedicating a whole chapter to Tom's life and adventures in the southwestern region and his discovery of the "Gulf City" in that desert plateau, "Mesa," in Arizona, which is now an important heritage landmark in the United States. The most significant event in the novel is the invention created by Tom Outland, who obtains its patent before going to participate in World War I and is killed, leaving a will that creates a crisis among the characters, after the wealth achieved by the invention raises many questions; who deserves credit for this invention? Is it Dr. Crain, who wasted his time with Tom, advised him, and provided him with a physics laboratory to enable him to apply his equations and experiments? Or his fiancée, according to the will written by Tom? Where are the law and personal integrity in all this?
