A brief about the book Al-Muntakh from the book Fada'il Al-Bilad by Imam Al-Dhahabi - Abdulrahman Qa'id: A new golden effect published for the first time from the works of Imam Al-Hafiz Al-Mu'arrikh Shams Al-Din Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Uthman Al-Dhahabi who died in 748, compiled some of what was narrated about the virtues of the lands from Hadiths and آثار, adorned with his sound judgments, outstanding expressions, and brilliant comments, selected by him from the handwriting of Hafiz Al-Muhaddith Ahmad ibn Aibak Al-Hassami known as Ibn Al-Damiyati who died in 749, and added beneficial additions in his chapter, verified it from a unique copy written by Ibn Al-Damiyati, and presented a brief useful study about books of virtues of lands and sources of its Hadiths, the laxity in narrating them, reasons for the frequent fabrication, and the true nature of preferring places and lands and people's Madhahib in that, then introduced the book, confirming its attribution to its author, clarifying its methodology, translating its copyists and narrators, and describing the original manuscript upon which it was based.
