Product description

Overview of One Thousand and One Nights, two volumes from Dar Sader: King Shahryar married virgins, daily, where he kills the bride on the wedding night before she has a chance to betray him. After a while, the minister who was tasked with providing a bride for the king could no longer find more virgins. Then his daughter Shahrzad offered herself to be the king's bride, and her father reluctantly agreed. On their wedding night, Shahrzad began telling a story to the king but did not finish it, which piqued the king's curiosity to hear the end of the story, and compelled him to postpone her execution to listen to the ending. On the following night, when she finished one story, she would start a new story to entice the king to hear its ending as well, and so on, until she completed a thousand and one nights.
