Product description

The need for healing is one of the strongest human needs that a person experiences. And the pure Shariah came in agreement with this need, regulating it; where the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah created the disease and the cure, so seek treatment and do not treat with what is forbidden," authenticated by Al-Albani. The Lawgiver restricted the door of treatment to what Allah has permitted and prohibited what He has forbidden — even if it seems beneficial. And the lawful causes are those established by texts explicitly, and the natural causes established by scientific methodology with conditions and details; beyond that, treatment is not permissible even if the need to do so is perceived. This is understood by regulating the concept of causality in the Islamic and applied terminology. But more dangerous than associating causes with partners is seeking healing through means and practices imported from cultures and pagan or paganistic religions that rely entirely on their cosmological views or beliefs about God, the world, and existence; and they add to the previous shirk what is more dangerous and more deviant. This book discusses the doctrinal fundamentals upon which the philosophy of Eastern healing is based, which is rooted in the belief in the unity of existence, represented in many practices of Indian, Tibetan, and Chinese medicine. It clarifies the doctrinally problematic aspects of these practices, such as yoga, macrobiotics, and healing with stones, and their serious consequences. It sheds light on an important issue that many researchers in Islamic sciences have not addressed: the impact of Eastern philosophy on the Islamic world and the corrupt beliefs it carries, which exploit people's needs for expansion and spread.
